This project involved designing an annual report publication for the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. The focus was on creating a visually engaging and well-structured layout that aligns with the organization's branding while communicating its values, achievements, and financials.
The design process included exploring typeface combinations, developing grids, and ensuring the content was easily readable and informative. Halftone textures and natural imagery enhanced the connection to nature without overpowering the content.
The style combined clean, professional elements with subtle visual sophistication, supporting both informative content and the Gardens' ethos of blending nature with cultural engagement.
Ant + Dove is an inclusive venue that combines the intimacy of a bookstore, the fun of board game nights, and the elegance of a cocktail bar. The brand is inspired by the Aesop fable of The Ant and The Dove, reflecting values of mutual respect, kindness, and community.
Through this project, I developed the complete brand identity, signage, social media strategy, and digital presence, ensuring that Ant + Dove’s visual identity is cohesive, accessible, and welcoming. From external signage to detailed social media content, every touchpoint is carefully designed to embody the brand's commitment to inclusivity, creating an engaging and memorable experience.
This project involved designing a tourism guide for the city of Greater Geelong, Victoria, focusing on its vibrant bar and cocktail scene.
The guide takes readers through different venues, from waterfront spots to hidden gems, showcasing the variety of locations available for a night out.
The design embraces Geelong's urban feel with gritty textures, reflecting the city's blend of heritage architecture and modern nightlife. The goal was to create an engaging, visually rich publication that promotes local businesses while helping tourists and locals alike plan a memorable night out in Geelong's evolving bar scene.
This project focuses on creating three distinct self-care packs for men, tailored to complement different parts of the day: morning, day, and night.
The packs are designed to encourage mindfulness and routine-building, using a cohesive brand identity called "Forge." Vibrant orange hues, strong typography, and symbolic imagery reflect the theme of self-improvement and empowerment.
Each pack includes a folded sheet outlining a self-care routine and brand information. The final outcomes aim to break the mold of traditional men's self-care products by incorporating bold design elements while maintaining accessibility and emotional resonance.
This project is a limited-edition 12" vinyl album cover design for the 2021 album Tyron by British rapper slowthai. The design reflects the album’s duality, with the first half consisting of heavier, upbeat tracks, and the second half softer and more introspective.
The visual elements, such as gritty textures, damaged paper edges, and blurred figures, convey the dark themes of depression and suicidal thoughts. Contrasting this, a floral pattern symbolizes the transition from darkness to light.
The design incorporates mirroring and inversion to visually represent the album's thematic split, creating a powerful and evocative package.
This project is a mini-publication inspired by Kafka's Metamorphosis, using a Dada and collage art style to explore the themes of absurdity and dehumanization.
The design avoids literal beetle imagery, favouring abstract visuals and bold, overlapping text to evoke the chaotic transformation experienced by the protagonist.
Typography experimentation resulted in Garamond for body text, paired with various bold sans-serif fonts for headings, adding a layered, disorienting effect that mirrors the novel’s complex themes of identity and alienation. This approach captures the tension between the familiar and the grotesque central to Kafka’s narrative.
